WHAT WILL MEMBERSHIP DO FOR ME?
Club membership gives you a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in your community.
It's a great way to meet new people - who will quickly become new friends.
Want to develop your own leadership skills? You can learn such things as project planning, public speaking, and team building.
Want to simply be a "worker bee"? We recognize that not everyone wants to take a leadership role. There are plenty of ways to
help without having to "be in charge". There is something for everyone, no matter what your availability is.
State and national publications keep you informed about the latest GFWC programs, and provide a venue for club success stories

We only have two well-established fund raisers each year, so members aren't constantly required to put in extra time on projects
and events throughout the year.
As you can see above, our club, along with our parent state and nationwide organizations, offer the opportunities, resources, programs,
and services you need in today's challenging and changing world. These include an award-winning international magazine, state

HOW DO I JOIN?
Anyone interested in learning more about the GFWC Hartford Women's Club is welcome to attend one of our regular meetings. Just
contact us at the email below and we will be happy to answer your questions and tell you about scheduled activities each month. Once
you complete the necessary paperwork and pay your Membership Dues, you will be installed as a new member.
Annual Dues are $25. This covers dues to GFWC-Wisconsin and GFWC, a quarterly GFWC-WI magazine and club operating expenses.
Who else can offer you the opportunity to work with women from your hometown, your state, and the international community to enrich the
lives of your friends and family? The GFWC Hartford Women's Club is a non-profit volunteer organization. Our purpose is to involve our
members in educational, charitable, social welfare, civic and cultural projects in order to enrich the individual members and the
community; and to further the progress and work of the General Federation of Women's Club– Wisconsin (GFWC-WI) and the General
Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC). GFWC members create global change working on a local level - we select projects and programs
by determining the specific needs of the communities in which we live and work every day.
